Sujet + BE ( conjugué au temps que l’on souhaite) + participe passé ( 3ème colonne des verbes irréguliers)

1. One third of London was destroyed by the German bombers.

2. The Children were evacuated by the British government to the countryside.

3. My brother Paul was given some biscuits by a billeting officer on his arrival.

4. My friend Lisa was taken by a host family to a nice cottage.
